This is a two part course intended for people engaged in treatment
services, with places made available in all sessions for "other
stakeholders" ~ notably members of families with a dually
diagnosed member.
- Part 1: an intensive 5 day course with input from service
users, and from Dual Diagnosis programmes in NSW and overseas
through real-time video conferencing. The course covers history,
theory, models of treatment, philosophy, interventions and
strategies at a personal and systems level.
- Part 2: supervision of participants during a six month
case management project. This involves monthly educational
sessions developing themes encountered in the intensive 5 day
workshop and oversight of the case management project.
Courses were previously conducted at the University Centre, Sydney,
but more recently they have taken place in Wollongong. Cost as at
December 2001 is $770.00
The course is closely associated with The
Damp House Project
