New! The first combined NSW Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Forum, hosted by Alliance of NSW Divisions, was held at the Millennium Hotel, Kings Cross Sydney, November 14 & 15 2002. The aim of the forum was to bring together key stakeholders from Divisions of General Practice and Area Health Services who are involved in projects to engage and support GPs in the provision of Mental Heath and Drug & Alcohol services Resources and speakers’ presentations are available here.

Australian Drug Foundation A very good jumping off point for addiction and drug information

MindBodyLife is a web resource for mental health professionals and consumers of mental health services. It includes key speakers (literally) on dual diagnosis in the Drug Dependence section.

Australian Drug Inmformation Network (ADIN) is funded under the Commonwealth of Australia's Tough on Drugs Strategy". It provides a central point of access to quality-reviewed Internet-based alcohol and drug information provided by prominent organisations in Australia and overseas and taps into a large collection of quality-assessed websites, linking the user to websites and databases on the world wide web. ADIN quality assurance emphasizes Australian content emanating from reputable and legitimate organisations such as Government Departments, academic institutions, national peak bodies and organisations with recognised expertise and experience in alcohol and drug issues. Consumer feedback contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement to ensure that the community has access to information and service of the best possible standard
