In 2000 we polled visitors on their experience of the impact of marijuana on people who have schizophrenia: The results of our straw poll are as follows:

None of the respondents were willing to say that schizophrenia made it impossible to use marijuana without obvious harm. But no one supported the idea that marijuana might have benefits for people with schizophrenia, either, and 21% of respondents had never met anyone who could use without exacerbating their symptoms.

An equal number (21%) had never met anyone who could use safely, but had heard of such cases.

8% of respondents knew a few individuals who coped with THC while another 4% claimed that most people with scz coped without obvious ill effects.

The majority of those who responded to our survey (43%) reported that some people who have schizophrenia seem to cope with marijuana without it negatively impacting on their mental health.
