WIREDD is a feminist, community based, training, information and general resource service for women in the Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) which also offers 1:1 counselling.

The service is a non-government agency funded by the Depertment of Health and Community Care. It's target population includes "all women + all Drug & Alcohol workers + Community/Health workers".

WIREDD's programme has a mental health focus. It works and advocates with/for Dual Diagnosis problems, and women with mental illnesses are a large proportion of their target population.

Training is provided in Drugs and Alcohol, Dual Diagnosis, and psychiatric illness, especially in residential settings (women's refuges), specifically for people working with women and women's issues, although a broad base of information relevant to both genders is maintained.

  • WIREDD currently provides their services free.

Wiredd was engaged (January 1999) with the ACT Department of Health  in developing  joint training programmes for dual disorder
