Video Production

The Audio Visual Dept produces patient education, staff training, promotional and surgical videos for clients within SWSAHS.

As the scope of each video is unique the budget varies accordingly. Before considering making a video you should contact the video producer to discuss the project. As a guide to the costs of production, a simple training video of a procedure is approximately $300-$400. This amount is cost recovered at the end of the production.

The final program can be released as a VHS video, DVD or an M-PEG movie clip on CD.

Programs are edited on a non-linear editing computer. Previous footage which is on Mini DV, VHS -C or VHS can be edited into a program or surgical procedures on videotape can be shortened in the same way.
