Video Conferencing

This is a technology which has been available for over a decade which uses dedicated ISDN lines to convey pictures and sound to any place in the world which has videoconferencing facilities.

Audio Visual Services has access to a videoconference unit in the Thomas & Rachel Moore Education Centre. Clinical and administrative meetings are regularly held between the SWSAHS area hospitals. The Telstra charges for a meeting between hospitals is approximately $20 per hour which is charged to your cost centre.

AVS has successfully conducted videoconferences to Sweden, France and USA. There are currently over 200 videoconference units in hospitals throughout NSW.
