Training

Area Health Services are responsible for providing child protection training for Health staff. SWSAHS is required to have an ongoing training strategy to ensure that Health staff receive information about child protection that is relevant to their position.

In South Western Sydney Area Health Service, from January 2004, child protection training is provided by the SWSAHS Child Protection Family Service (CPFS). Prior to 2004, training was provided and managed by the Area Human Resource Development Service.
