Richard Williams, Professor of Mental Health Strategy (University of Glamorgan, South Wales, and Vice Chairman of the Mental Health Act Commission and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust)  and Jeff Cohen, Policy Coordinator of the Mental Health Act Commission

What's Drugs Got To Do With It?

A series of resources to help inform people with mental or emotional problems about possible consequences of drug use. A useful tool for engagement, psychoeducation and a good discussion starter. For technical reasons, the layout and content of the download version is slightly different to the original printed copies which you may have seen...any feedback would be very welcome. To use the programmes you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Most computers have the system installed. If not it can be obtained from ISD (SWSAHS Intranet users) or downloaded from Adobe. Some files have been compressed to save download time. You may need the WinZip utility to utilise them.

If Acrobat Reader is installed on your system as a plug-in for your browser and you left-click on the link, Reader will open the file instead of downloading it. You can still save the file but it is cumbersome to do it this way. Adobe recommends the following:

To download a PDF file from a link:
1. Right-click the link to a PDF file, then choose Save Link As (Internet Explorer) from the pop-up menu.
2. In the Save As dialog box, select a location on your hard drive, then click Save.
Alternatyively, click the link (this should open the file in Acrobat Reader in a new window) then save the file from the Adobe Reader menu.
