Health Service Planning

The Division of Health Service Planning is composed of a small and dedicated team who work co-operatively with all staff, and community members to develop service and facility plans. The Staff also work with the NSW Department of Health and other government and non -government agencies examples are the Department of Community Services, Housing and Police.

The Division provides direct planning services or facilitates others in the on-going planning of initiatives, services and facilities.

A range of consultants are also managed where they are appointed to develop plans.
South Western Sydney’s population is growing and changing rapidly. Health services need to be planned carefully to meet the area’s growing needs.

Our Purpose

The Division of Health Service Planning exists to create clear, strategic and implementable directions for SWSAHS whether this be for the corporate entity as a whole, for any clinical service or for the facilities from which services run. The creation of agreed directions assist in the leadership of the Area and in achievement of the Area’s purpose – “To enhance health and deliver high quality health services in partnership with our diverse and growing communities”.
