Welcome to our Emergency Departments Web Site. The Emergency Department at Campbelltown Hospital along with its associated department at Camden Hospital provides specialist emergency care to the 220 000 residents of the Macarthur Area.

Campbelltown Emergency Department sees 37,000 patients each year. Our goal is to provide excellent emergency care to every person who attends. This involves our assessment and initial care and planning the ongoing management which can include admission to the hospital under the inpatient teams or discharge home with further treatment being provided by Specialists, General Practitioners or the Ambulatory Care Service.

Campbelltown Hospital is being redeveloped and we have jobs available for Doctors and Nurses. The New Emergency Department will be opened late 2002. The new department is part of our expansion of services and includes a purpose built paediatric treatment area, large resuscitation bays, isolation rooms, a 16-bed observation section and 5 cubicles. We are recruiting new Staff Specialists, Career Medical Officers and Nurses.
