New Department

General information
The New Emergency Department will be open late 2002.
It will provide a major improvement in the resources and work environment in the ED that will be appreciated by patients and staff alike. Our photo tour shows the department in the final stages of construction.

Adjacent to the ED is Security, Radiology, Outpatients and Ambulatory Care.

General Practice Unit
There is a general practice unit open between 6pm - 10pm weekdays, 2pm - 10pm weekends and public holidays. The Unit provides after hours GP care for many local GP practices. It is staffed by local GP's and while it is not part of the Emergency Department it is located nearby [follow signs in corridor]. They are happy to see you with any problem for which you would normally see your GP.

Security
Hospital security is present in the hospital and available to the Emergency Department 24hrs a day.
