Welcome to Liverpool Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Ultrasound

The Department of Nuclear Medicine at Liverpool Hospital is located on Level 1, in the Clinical Building at the corner of Elizabeth and Goulburn Street, Liverpool.

The department performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using state of the art Gamma cameras (scanning device). Our equipment includes Picker Cameras (Prism 2000, Prism 3000), an ADAC solaris MCD camera and a GE 400 Camera.

Bone Mineral density measurements are measured with DEXA technology using a LUNAR-IQ Bone Mineral Densitometer.

Diagnostic ultrasound procedures using are  also carried out using modern Acuson scanner and Bruel-Kjaer intra-luminal dedicated machine.

Our Department consists of experienced  Physicians, Scientists, Technologists, Nursing and Clerical staff.
