Positron Emission Tomography(PET)

A dedicated full ring positron emission tomography (PET) camera was installed in Liverpool Hospital in July 2002, the second publicly funded PET camera in NSW as part of a State wide service. A full range of fluoro-deoxyglucose (FDG) PET studies are available to patients from within and from outside the South Western Sydney Area Health Service. A PET study requires a referral from a specialist medical practitioner. Medicare rebates are available for FDG-PET imaging for indications approved by the Commonwealth Government.

Click on the links below to download patient information forms and referral forms. If further information is required call (02)-9828-3502 and speak to the duty PET physician.
