Access to the High Risk Foot Clinic requires a referral from your general practitioner or medical officer. The referral may be faxed to us in cases of urgency. The normal waiting period for an appointment is 4 weeks. Please ring for an appointment time on the below details.

Our operating hours are:

9.00am-12.00pm & 1.00pm-4.00pm Monday - Friday. 

After hours cases where there has been a marked deterioration in foot pathology or where a new injury has occurred, patients should seek care from their local GP clinic or from a local accident and emergency department.

Areas of podiatry in which Liverpool High Risk Foot Clinic staff participate include:

  • Primary foot assessment
  • Foot wound management
  • Dressing prescription
  • Mechanical offloading of ulcers or severe diabetic complications 
  • eg Charcot neuroarthropathy
  • Minor surgery under local anaesthetic
  • Post amputation rehabilitation
  • Renal and diabetic foot screening
