Karitane is a teaching facility which provides clinical experience of a very specialised nature to a variety of students within and outside the health profession.

In conjunction with the University of Western Sydney - Campbelltown a Graduate Diploma of Nursing (Child and Family: Karitane) is offered to Registered Nurses. This is a HECS based two year distance education course with clinical experience undertaken at Karitane facilities.

Karitane offers a Certificate IV in Parentcraft Nursing. This course is for Enrolled Nurses who wish to work with children and families involving a range of issues around parenting.

The staff continuing development programs include regular seminars and workshops. Additionally, a consultancy service regarding child and family health issues is available to community groups and allied organisations.
