21 year old Driver : Mini-Minor into Metal Fence : Arriving in 10 minutes

  • M - Mini-Minor into Metal Fence
  • I - Severe External Chest Injury, Bleeding
  • S - RR 34/m, BP 90, P 130/m GCS 15
  • T - 02 Occlusive Dressing IV Fluid Morphine 10 mg

Pre - Arrival Plan

   You are the Team Leader. There is one other Doctor and Two Nurses. You have a fully equipped Resucitation Room.

  1. Prepare For Intubation (Drugs / ETT)
  2. Position CXR plate. Wear lead gowns
  3. Prepare for Chest Drain Insertion
  4. Obtain 0+ blood

  3. Prepare for ER Thoracotomy
  4. Prepare for DPL
