MCQ

The first in-hospital treatment and assessment the Trauma Patient receives is from the Trauma Team. The team function is probably one of the most critical aspects of trauma care. The team leader is the most important member of the team.

New registrars need to be familiar with how the team works.

Every hospital has a team that suits their needs. Ours is multi disciplinary with the Team Leader alternating between ICU and ED registrar. The roster is in the resus room. To be team leader you will have to have answered the following instructive questionnaire and attend 3 traumas resuscitations before you can take over the reins. Liverpool Hospital is committed to education and the registrars in general are the team leaders rather than the specialists.
