The first in-hospital
treatment and assessment the Trauma Patient receives is from the
Trauma Team. The team function is probably one of the most
critical aspects of trauma care. The team leader is the most
important member of the team.
Every hospital has a team that suits their needs. Ours is multi disciplinary with the Team Leader alternating between ICU and ED registrar. The roster is in the resus room. To be team leader you will have to have answered the following instructive questionnaire and attend 3 traumas resuscitations before you can take over the reins.
