Trauma Evenings will become
a regular place to visit as we will be having then quite regularly.
Our next Trauma education evening will be held on February 3rd,
2000 at 16.00.
This course is a non- optional educational evening for registrars
caring for trauma patients at Liverpool Hospital. The evening is aimed for all disciplines
dealing with trauma patients. The time has been chosen to facilitate registrars
attendance. It is specifically targeted at registrars in Surgery, Emergency Medicine,
Intensive Care, Orthopaedics and Anaesthesia. It also provides an ideal refresher from
Members of the Ambulance Service and Defence Forces. By the end of the evening the
participants should be confident in dealing with the following issues:
- Our (your) Trauma System and Trauma Team
- Anaesthetic tips
- Rapid Decision making in severe Trauma
- Evaluation of abdominal trauma
- Resuscitation
- Prevention of secondary brain injury
This year we will be focusing on cases and key synoptic points after
each case.
Residents, Ambulance Officers, Nursing and paramedical staff are welcome
to attend. We would like to thank Photosphere for their support.
There will be NO registration fee. Please let Thelma know if
you are coming (02) 9828 3928.
