Dear Friends,

It has been a pleasure to be involved with the Trauma and Injury Department at Liverpool Hospital and watch it grow from strength to strength. Their aim to provide excellence in Trauma and Injury Care for the people of South Western Sydney is commendable. The Department has tremendous commitment and energy in attempting to improve the level of care in the area.

The Department leads the way in research at a national level, dominating the scientific sessions of the last four Royal Australasian College of Surgeons National Meetings. Their commitment to education is demonstrated by the fact that there are over 10 major trauma courses a year held at the hospital.

These achievements have been made with little funding and now the Department is attempting to solidify its future. Your support of the Research and Education Fund launch can have major implications for you, your family and the people of South Western Sydney.
